Editing Your Life

  • I am a writer, which means I must be willing to be edited.  I have to be humble and open-minded, willing to accept the changes that others would like to make to my work.  I admit that I can't always see what would work best.  And I must be able to take a deep breath, look critically at my work and edit my own work myself.  I need to be brutal sometimes and to say good-bye to something I liked at the time, but now, it's clear, would bring the whole piece down.
  •        My life needs editing too.  I must be humble about it, willing to lay it all at God's feet to bring it all to the Sacrament of Reconciliation and to make the necessary cuts.  Deep breaths are necessary here, too.  Courage, too, and faith--faith that God knows what my life does and doesn't need to serve its greater purpose.     Author Unknown

I am French Acadian from a small village (Cape St. Mary) on the southwestern shore of Nova Scotia.
Who had the most influence in my life?     My mother, who introduced me to Jesus as soon as I could speak His name.  She gave me the gift of faith, that which brought joy and fulfillment to my life.  I have faith that she now in Paradise.
